The Orchard (Room 9)

This really is an orchard with a view! This location was chosen for its sheltered but sunny position. The netting is necessary because, whilst the overhead is attractive to observe, the abundant and varied birdlife would make short work of the harvest if given the opportunity.
As a matter of interest some 28 bird species are regular visitors and residents. A bower bird has had his bower 10 metres from the house for some 15 years. The blue wren family has nested and raised their young for the same period.
The greatest fine art of the future will be the making of a comfortable living from a small piece of land.
